Close your eyes and picture September 16, 1914. A family member is murdered. What do you remember about the murder that day? This novel is about Alva C. Tenil Horr, who murdered his wife, Ida on that day in Danville, IL. Find out the rest of the story by attending the book signing in the Museum Center. Meet the author Steve Meeker. In researching his family history, Steve discovered that his Great Aunt Ida, who was born Ida Meeker in Bismarck, IL on October10, 1879, had been murdered.
The conversations that are illustrated in the story are fictional, and some names have been changed, but the novel is a timeline of the events before and after the murder. The pictures and the documents in the book help to illustrate the story. Ida was unaware of the changes her story and life would bring to many local residents in Danville.
Mr. Meeker will give a presentation about the book at 10:30 AM, followed by a question and answer session. He will be available throughout the remainder of the time to answer questions and sign books. Come and find out what exactly happened to Alva C. Tenil Horr.
